As you all know, Pres. Rodrigo Duterte signed into law Republic Act No. 10693 as a new year's present which shall take effect on the first pay day of 2018. The Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) Act is expected to lower personal income tax, simplifies the estate and donor's tax and expand the value-added tax (VAT) range while increasing excise taxes on fuel, sugar-sweetened beverages, cosmetics procedure, mineral products, vehicles, cigarettes and more.
